KPFT Series Concludes
The KPFT Fall Concert Series 2007 concludes with Vinyl Spin, a unique mix of DJ styles that is sure to keep you grooving on the dance floor. This highly anticipated event takes place from
4 to 7 P.M., Sunday, November 18 at the Miller Outdoor Theatre Side Stage in Hermann Park.
This event is free thanks to Green Mountain Energy, Houston Press, Starbucks Coffee and the City of Houston through the Miller Outdoor Theatre Advisory Board.
KPFT deejays Pmaz, Suma and Yogi G will be joined by A3. Yogi G of GenerAsian Radio opens the set mixing bhangra, hip-hop, house and South Asian sounds. A3 hits the stage combining dance hall reggae, acid jazz, dub and Latin beats. The tempo slows when Suma of Soular Grooves does his blend of electronica. Pmaz of the Morning Mix closes the evening thumping the crowd with dubstep and DnB.
The 2007 Fall Concert Series has been a huge success in showcasing the many music genres of KPFT 90.1 FM. This year the station highlighted Zydeco, Latino and Irish bands as well as picker poets. KPFT is Houston’s only non-commercial, listener-sponsored radio station that reaches 145,000 listeners weekly in the Houston/Galveston community and countless others via our streaming web. KPFT brings an eclectic schedule of music, news and information programming to the airwaves.

I didn’t actually have anything to say about this, since I didn’t get to go.
I just wanted to say “Hi” on your new blog & see the “no comments yet” change to something else. Gonna’ be updating my links this week hopefully so I’ll get this on there!
