The Sidney Hillman Foundation is now accepting nominations for the 2007 Sidney Hillman Awards, honoring journalism that contributes to social justice and progressive public policy. Hillman categories for 2007 will include Books (non-fiction), Newspaper Reporting, Magazine Reporting, Broadcast Journalism (includes television and radio), Photojournalism, and Blogs.

The 2007 awards are given for work produced, published or exhibited in 2006. Editors, photo editors, producers, reporters and authors are urged to submit nominations immediately. The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2007. Winners will be announced in May 2007. Winners are awarded a $2,000 prize and a plaque, and a trip to New York City to receive the award.
