Free Press Seeking Proposals

From Free Press:

The fourth National Conference on Media Reform is set for June 6-8, 2008 in Minneapolis, Minn. The event will be an exciting, inspiring three-day gathering for people who are concerned about the state of our media and committed to working for change. The conference will convene more than 3,000 activists, educators, media makers, journalists, policymakers and concerned citizens to discuss strategies for creating a better media system.

*Free Press is currently seeking ideas for sessions and presenters at the conference.* We’re soliciting formal session proposals for workshops and panels to be presented at the conference, as well as informal suggestions for session topics and speakers. We want sessions that inspire individuals to become more deeply involved with media reform activism and policymaking. We’re seeking sessions that are interactive, innovative, and able to galvanize the ideas and energy of a diverse throng of participants.

*We encourage you to submit your suggestions and proposals as soon as possible so that we can consider your ideas.* We’ll review suggestions and make program decisions on a rolling basis through January 4. For more detailed information, or to submit a suggestion or session proposal, please visit our Web-based form at freepress.net/conference/

Please share this Call for Suggestions with others who may have great ideas.

If you have questions about the conference, or for more information, please reach conference staff at conference@freepress.net.
