Democracy Now! is the largest public media collaboration in the US, distributing a daily, global, grassroots news hour to over 500 TV and radio stations across the country. We’re looking to add an experienced organizer to our outreach team who is committed to making Democracy Now! a household name and bringing the program to new stations. Job responsibilities include:

* Supporting and cultivating grassroots organizing campaigns to bring Democracy Now! to radio and TV stations across the country.

* Developing and disseminating publicity materials.

* Providing strategic and logistical support for Amy Goodman’s nationwide speaking engagements.

* Maintaining the outreach section of the Democracy Now! website as a useful and dynamic resource for activists and supporters.

* Managing the Democracy Now! outreach internship program.

* Coordinating the production of promotional and fund raising media for stations that carry Democracy Now!

Qualified applicants will have a minimum of two years national organizing experience, a commitment to independent media and well established knowledge of Democracy Now!’s programming. Other qualifications include a high level of organization and attention to detail, good verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications, and proven leadership and supervisory abilities.
