Brandworkers International is currently accepting applications from students and recent graduates for Spring 2008.

Based in New York, Brandworkers International is a new organization providing innovative legal, advocacy, and organizing support to retail workers and workers across the retail supply chain. Brandworkers also empowers communities to counter abuse from the big brand corporations.

Media Interns will receive training and work on Brandworkers’ Internet and traditional media initiatives. Media Interns may assist in drafting or placing press releases, talking points, and/or op-eds. Media Interns may also help plan press events and deliver campaign messages through a variety of media.

Internships are unpaid but Brandworkers will accommodate applications for external funding and/or academic credits. No particular experience necessary but a commitment to social justice is required.

Preferred application deadline is January 30, 2008 but application process will remain open until positions are filled.
